“To study the character of sexual development in boys residing in industrial cities or in the country”
(research supervisor – Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor O.I. Plekhova, 2008−2010)

The research work, carried out according to the program “Health of the nation”, made it possible to define some tendencies in the course of sexual maturation in boys in the contemporary social environment,  namely   an  earlier onset ( from  1 to 1.5 yrs) of pubertal changes in the genital organs, as well as  the development of secondary sexual characters.

“To define a set of rehabilitation measures for adolescents with primary arterial hypertension”

The results of the research work which was carried out within the framework of the program “Prevention and treatment of AH in Ukraine” made in possible to establish a low tendency to the long-term treatment of adolescents with primary AH with antihypertensive medications. Such a tendency was caused by a negative attitude of both adolescents and their family members to application of the prescribed medicine, especially in the absence of subjective complaints. Attention was also drawn to poor medical control at the place of residence.

“To develop a technology of preventing of osteoarthrosis formation and progression against the background of inflammatory and dysplastic articular lesions in adolescents”

Some notions about the significance of heredity in at formation were broadened in consequence of the research work fulfilment. The data which testify to the genetic apparatus instability were obtained as for patients with OA.

“To work out methods to estimate child-parent relations in the families which bring up children of early age with psychomotor disorders”
(research supervisor – Cand of Sc. (Psychology) G.V. Kukuruza, 2008−2010 yrs)

Semi structured interview and system of its estimation have been worked out in the course of the research to define the quality of the child-parent relations in the families bringing up children of early age with psychomotor disorders.

“To study risk factors for  the development of insulin resistance in type 1 diabetes mellitus, carbohydrate tolerance disorders, and obesity in children and adolescents”
(research supervisor – Doctor of Medical Sciences O.A. Budreiko, 2008−2010)

The research work carrying-out made it possible to establish according to the data of standard diagnostic tests that insulin resistance in children and adolescents with obesity was revealed fourfold more frequent than the carbohydrate metabolism disorders.

“To study modulation peculiarities under stress in the systems of internal organs tissue protection from free-radical damage in rats at different stages of puberty”
(research supervisor – Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor V.V. Davydov, 2008−2010 yrs)

Fulfilment of the research project made it possible to establish that a short-term immobilization of rats in their early puberty is not accompanied by some changes in the content of carbonilated proteins and TBK-reactive substances in the brain mitochondrial and microsomal fractions.
