The Institute performed research work in the following areas:
- definition of school health laws governing the formation of Ukraine, environmental factors and genetic factors that it predetermines;
- development of monitoring systems definition neurohormonal and immune mechanisms of the child's body and the formation of pathology puberty;
- development of new methods of prevention, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment cardiovascular, digestive, endocrine system, connective tissue disorders in adolescence;
- medical and psychological rehabilitation of children and adolescents with the most severe somatic diseases and impaired mental development, prevention of disability;
- scientific basis of the most effective forms of medical assistance for children and young people of Ukraine, including high-risk groups.
